Nathalie Rossetti: Rossetti+Wyss Studio Rossetti+Wyss hledá při práci na zakázkách určitý a jedinečný postup, který respektuje základní potřeby prostředí, současné technické možnosti a formální i neformální požadavky projektu. Vědomé omezení užitých prvků a nahodilý vztah materiálu podporuje samozřejmý a nenucený vzhled budov. Práce Studia Rossetti+Wyss je chrakterizována uvolněností a bezprostřeností, užívané za účelem dosažení významných smyslových informací o místě stavby. Na přednášce bude Nathalie Rossetti mluvit o práci Studia a souvisejících aspektech. Nathalie Rossetti se narodila roku 1970 v Neapoli. Studovala polytechniku v Curychu a v roce 1995 získala titul u profesorky Flory Ruchat. Spolupracovala s ateliérem Reného Stoose v Bruggách, ateliérem prof. H. E. Kramela na curyšské polytechnice, ateliérem Bétrix & Consolascio Architects v Erlenbachu a s ateliérem Sandry Giraudi na univerzitě USI v Mendrisiu. Byla spoluvedoucí projektu sportoviště ve švýcarském Zugu. V roce 2000 spoluzaložila Rossetti + Wyss Architects. Působila v porotách různých národních a mezinárodních architektonických soutěží a v radě švýcarské společnosti inženýrů a architektů SIA. Od roku 2010 je členkou konfederace švýcarských architektů (BSA). The conscious and ongoing reduction of the means lead to recognizable results. The continuous reduction of applied elements and the immediate connection of materials support the self-evident and unconstrained appearance of the buildings. The work of Rossetti+Wyss is accompanied with an ease and an immediacy in order to substrate the relevant sensual information about the built space. During the lecture Nathalie Rossetti will present works of Rossetti+Wyss and talks about the relevant aspects. Nathalie Rossetti was born 1970 in Napoli. She studied at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich and gained her Diploma in 1995 at Prof. Flora Ruchat. She collaborated with the studios of René Stoos, Brugg, studio of Prof. H. E. Kramel at ETH in Zurich, with the office of Bétrix & Consolascio architects in Erlenbach, and with the studio of Sandra Giraudi at the University USI in Mendrisio. She was a co-project leader for the gym in Zug in Switzerland. She co-founded Rossetti + Wyss architects in January 2000. She has been a member of juries in national and international architecture competitions and the board of directors of the Swiss engineer and architect association SIA. Since 2010 she has been a member of the confederation of Swiss architects (BSA).
A civic association KRUH (Circle) was founded in 2001 by a group of architecture students at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. Focus of our activities lies in an ongoing cycle of lectures on architecture held by leading Czech and foreign architects and architecture critics. In addition to that, we have organized excursions to contemporary architectural realisations and film festivals. During ten years of our activity, we have provided almost 200 lectures (e.g. series of lectures 'Across Swiss Architecture' – in cooperation with a Swiss foundation Pro Helvetia and Swiss Embassy in Prague), three excursions abroad, two film festivals on architecture, an exhibition, and published four collective anthologies with texts on architecture. All our activities gained both a favourable public response (200 – 500 visitors per lecture, 2000 visitors at film festival) and a response of professional press (awarded Architekt magazine prize in 2003). So far we have lined up lectures by significant figures of contemporary architecture eg. Aaron Betsky, Eva Jiřičná, Jan Kaplický, Luigi Snozzi, Mario Botta, Dietmar Eberle, Francisco Mangado and as well many starting Czech architects. In all we do our goal is to create a continuous dialogue about contemporary issues among architects, architecture theorists and public. Our target group consists of architecture students, architects, construction engineers, humanities students and last but not least the general public. This year our programme is focused on lectures and presentation of recent projects, which came out from important architecture competitions in Czech Republic. The aim of the project is to show what is happening right now in architecture, what is new and progressive for architects, and how they deal with the idea of competition.
