The aim of this presentation is to highlight how mental health professionals may think about the assumed mechanisms of psychedelic therapeutic action in a variety of contexts, be it experimental, clinical, or supportive. We will begin with professionals working with psychedelic substances in the former Czechoslovakia, continuing on to therapist training in the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies’ MDMA-Psychotherapy for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and ending on the topic of psychedelic harm reduction and benefit maximization at the Center for Optimal Living’s Psychedelic Education and Continuing Care Program. Presentation Themes: Medical Treatment (Clinical Care), Therapist Training, Self-experience for mental health professionals, community and societal needs.
