About

Krähenmann will speak about the recent randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study into the effects of LSD on cognition. Krähenmann postulates that when combined with guided mental imagery psychedelics may enhance and deepen psychotherapeutic processes. His recent data show that psychedelics acutely shift cognition from a rational, reality-bound, secondary process-driven mode towards a more irrational, hyper-associative, primary process-driven mode which is highly similar to dreaming. Relevance for psychedelic psychotherapy and implications for treatment of psychiatric disorders such as depression and anxiety will be discussed.
