Rich visual phenomena are among the most remarkable aspects of the ayahuasca experience, not necessarily always the most significant. Based on ethnographical sources -from the literature as well as from fieldwork- and personal experience over many years, I present some observations regarding visual phenomena (field of perception, moving within the visionary space, worlds and entities, etc.) as well as some reflections regarding cognition, creativity and ayahuasca as a tool for the study of the human mind.
