On November 26, 2018, Em. Prof. Erik De Clercq (Rega Institute for Medical Research, KU Leuven), a pioneer in antiviral therapies and co-inventor with Prof. Antonín Holý (IOCB Prague) of a key class of drugs to combat HIV, visited IOCB Prague and gave a lecture covering 50 years of an amazing scientific journey which led to the creation of multiple drugs and millions of patients benefiting from them.
The Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry of the Czech Academy of Sciences is a leading scientific institution in the Czech Republic.
