They are the forgotten, the minorities, the overlooked and the underserved. And they’re living in a world of experiences designed for the majority. Whether bound by geography, or other commonalities, these audiences are forced to navigate both digital and analog experiences that are not created for them to succeed. Detroit, for example, is undergoing major changes right now. While there is a huge resurgence in the works, much of the city is still struggling and unable to accomplish seemingly basic civic tasks. What happens when the people who’ve been there all along are unable to accomplish what the newcomers do effortlessly? ATTENDEES WILL WALK AWAY WITH the ability to identify underserved audiences a new awareness and empathy for them design tactics for accommodating experiences
