Ute Frevert

Ute Frevert is a director at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development in Berlin and a member of the Max Planck Society. Prior to this she was professor of German history at Yale University, and chaired departments at the universities of Bielefeld and Konstanz as well as at the Free University Berlin. Her research interests primarily focus on the history of emotions, social and cultural history, gender history and the political history of modernity. She was honoured with the prestigious Leibniz Prize of the German Research Association.
