About

IBM Analytics offers a complete portfolio of big data and analytics solutions to fuel your cognitive business. Our solutions enable your organization to engage with data to answer the toughest business questions, uncover patterns and pursue breakthrough ideas. We are part of the Analytics Platform, which uniquely has its own design team to support high value priorities. We predominately create products that support the big data space for ingesting, shaping, sifting through and analyzing data. Our platform is aligned with the IBM strategy of creating cloud-first products, amplified in our designs. Our style guide is actively utilized by multiple product teams as part of the platform. The strategy was to create a style guide within the platform that is accessible and available to all product teams with or without designers. For these last two years, we intentionally built an easily accessible interactive style guide to share within the platform. It provides both an explanation for UX decisions along with coded components to assist developers with implementation. In this presentation we’ll go through the steps we’ve done and pass on our lessons learned. The goal is to provide an example case study so others can see the potential design benefits of creating a guide and pattern library for their organization. Our guide is a mixture of FED components as well as describing the intent and thinking behind the designs. http://conveyux.com/
