Recently, neural-based artistic style transfer became viral thanks to mobile apps such as Prisma or DeepArt. They can produce an impressive stylized version of an input photo that bears a resemblance to the real artwork. The question is how far along we are? Can we pass an artistic variant of the Turing test when even an artist has a hard time to recognize whether the painting was created by him or by a machine? What is the secret ingredient that makes the synthetically-created artwork look like the real thing?
By creating Future Port Prague together with our visionary partners, we want to help people and businesses in our region better understand this phenomenon; not just the technology, but the deeper societal changes that will require a rethinking and rewiring of our business models and environments, our education systems, and most importantly our own mindsets.
