Cannabis is used for therapeutic purposes all over the world nowadays. However, it is legal in only a few countries and even there only for palliative care. It means that only the symptoms of diseases are treated legally, not the diseases themselves. Patients who treat themselves “illegally” are usually more experienced (but everyone has a right to take care of their good health, and it is not acceptable for beneficial treatment to remain illegal), and a logical conclusion is that people providing legal cannabis treatment could benefit from the experience of these patients. Unfortunately, the vast majority of patients only know that cannabis helps them, but they can hardly say which active substances are actually in their medicine. This is not easy to say even in the case of legal treatment. The same strain grown in different places in different stage of growth (or sometimes even in the same place) does not always contain the same cannabinoids in the same amounts. And we have not even mentioned compounds other than cannabinoids, which are also important for a successful treatment.
