Susanna Bäckman is a respected and accomplished teacher, school director, board member and consultant from Finland. She has over 20 years of professional management and leadership experience in the Finnish national education sector. Susanna is a specialist in the research and development of new models for pedagogy and educational working and leading practices and regularly works with both directors and teachers in these areas. Her leadership innovations have been successfully adopted by the Finnish national education sector and form the basis for their current operations. Susanna is passionate about education, shared and team leadership, learning environments and human development. Education Republic aims to facilitate the already ongoing transition from the educational paradigm of the 19th century to the next level ecosystem where learning is driven by never ending self-determined demand and facilitated by freedom of movement among various educational platforms and institutions.
