Daniel studies Theoretical and Mathematical Physics at the Ludwigs Maximilians University Munich (M.Sc.). He first got in touch with SFL during an exchange year in Canada and is currenty a fellow of the liberal Friedrich Naumann Foundation. Besides physics, he has always been keenly interested in philosophy and economics, resulting in, among other things, the awarding of the Vernon Smith Prize 2016. His other great passions are music and sports; he has been playing the guitar for 15 years, enjoys volleyball, wakeboarding and squash as well as hiking, (mountain) biking and trail running and, of course, extensive travelling.
