David Pavlik has worked in variety of positions, ranging from service delivery lead at Microsoft to technical program manager at Amazon, most recently Engineering Manager for Technical Programs at Netflix. Our team goal is to make engineers more productive by managing large scale, company wide projects and minimizing the impact on engineering teams. We were able to achieve that by building a program management framework that heavily focuses on automation and tools, self service and data driven management. Some successful projects include SimpleDB removal, Cassandra Upgrade, Google Guice adoption and others. David is passionate about architecting and building distributed, highly scaleable and available systems. Recently he built an ad serving platform that processes multi-millions impressions a day with 99.99% uptime. David has deep, hands on experience with AWS Cloud, technologies such as NodeJS, Python, AngularJS or NoSQL databases.
