Since 2002 Markus Beckedahl is blogging about politics in the digital society on the website netzpolitik.org. He is founder and partner of the newthinking communications GmbH as well as cofounder of Europes leading internet-conference re:publica-Konferenz. From 2010-2013 Markus Beckedahl was an expert on “Internet and digital Society” in the Enquete-Comission of the German Bundestag. Since 2010 he is a Member of the Media Council of the Medienanstalt Berlin Brandenburg. He is author and publisher of several books on questions about the digital world. One of his well-known books is titled "Die Digitale Gesellschaft - Netzpolitik, Bürgerrechte und die Machtfrage"
