            San Jose Astronomical Association (SJAA) is an educational organization based in San Jose, California, United States. Its mission is to foster interest in astronomy and science, and bring astronomy opportunities to the public. The SJAA achieves its mission by holding free, public, in-town star parties; providing a “QuickSTARt” program to help people get started in the hobby of amateur astronomy; providing a telescope loaner program; offering a school star party program to bring telescopes and informed amateur astronomers to school campuses; hosting events featuring talks by leading scientists and other researchers; and more. We are a registered non-profit organization and our operating budget comes solely in the form of member dues, donations and corporate gifts.
