Prof. Rodolfo Miranda has been the director of the Madrid Institute for Advanced Studies in Nanoscience (IMDEA Nanociencia) since 2006 and a full professor of condensed matter physics at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM). He has also worked with various universities in Spain and Germany during his career as a scientist. In 2007, Prof. Miranda was elected a fellow of the American Physical Society.
