Topics include: sending, receiving, and responding; the difficulties of communication within an organization and how that affects business; knowing your audience; communicating with peers; communicating with management; communicating with other departments, email protocol; tone; individual and cultural habits of communication. Graduates of the course will receive a Certificate of Course Completion from Montgomery College. Upon completion of the course, students will be able to understand: • The three components of communication • How communications reflect organization • How companies can fail to communicate effectively internally and with customers • Why one must be mindful of the audience • How to communicate with management, peers, reports and customers
